2025 Pastoral Initiatives

The Archdiocese of Lilongwe has as its mission, the continuation of Christ’s healing ministry, achieved through the promotion of human life and the provision of preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services in a holistic manner undertakes multiple pastoral, social development and investment initiatives.

For the year 2025, the Archdiocese withing its mission of evangelization, spiritual formation, and social service has planned various pastoral initiatives including: Construction of a priest retirement home for the Archdiocese of Lilongwe, Implementation of the Archdiocesan synod, strengthening youth structures in the archdiocese, promoting Laudato Si’ among the youth in the archdiocese and construction of priests’ Houses at the seven new parishes.

The archdiocese will also enhance pastoral efficiency through ongoing formation of newly ordained priests in the archdiocese. It will also provide means of transport for various priests include some who serve as chaplains.
