“Association of Catholic Bishops’ Conferences of Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe (ACBC MAZAZI)”
The Second Sub-Region Conference of Catholic bishops of Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe has resolved to name the association as association of catholic Bishops Conferences of Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe – and the acronym as ACBC-MAZAZI.
The plenary has also approved the statutes and operational guidelines of the association and also to incorporate other members outside the sub-region as associates when requested.
President of the Episcopal Conference of Malawi Archbishop George Desmond Tambala is reading the communique.
Archbishop Tambala says the secretariat of the sub-region shall be based in Lusaka, Zambia.
The Archbishop also mentioned that the Critical and technical issues suggested in the presentation will be implemented when the sub-region is fully operational.
The meeting has also resolved that the next meeting will be held in Zimbabwe in the next three years.
