Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant position of
Piggery Farm Manager to be based at Likuni. The Farm Manager will be responsible for the
coordination and management of tasks and people who oversee the care and welfare of
pigs, to ensure the farm operates at high standard.
Duties
The job holder will be reporting to the Archdiocesan Project Lead (Director of Social
Development & Industries)
Coordination of daily operations including staff activities
Involvement in pig husbandry and handling activities
Uphold a high standard of biosecurity, health, and welfare.
Record keeping and reporting, including production, management, and quality
assurance reports
Ensuring that the farm is meeting regulatory requirements
Support a positive working environment and continuous improvement
Playing leading in the marketing of farm products
Creating and implementing business strategies
Job specifications
Minimum of Diploma in Animal science, Animal Health, or any pig-related area
3-5 years’ experience in a farm management role.
Strong planning and organizational skills
Proficiency in both spoken and written English communications
